Announcing a new Newsletter: Software Side Hustler
Dedicated to software side hustlers. Paid subscribers enjoy a range of benefits, including opportunities for potential partnerships.

There are now over 600 articles in this ‘AgileWay’ newsletter.
Frankly, I don’t plan ahead much when I write. I simply share my experiences and thoughts. So, it might appear some topics covered in my articles somehow unrelated. Over time, it became clear that my articles naturally fall into the following main categories:
End-to-End Test Automation
Continuous Testing
Software Development Practices (Agile, Coding)
Side Hustle
To me, these are related:
Real End-to-End UI Test Automation is only possible with effective Continuous Testing, and vice versa.
Continuous testing (executing a solid suite of automated E2E UI tests as regression testing) forms the backbone of Agile and DevOps.
E2E automation significantly boosts software quality and developer productivity—often by 10X or more.
Once you reach that level, building your own apps as a side hustle becomes natural, potentially leading to solopreneurship.
However, I’ve gradually come to realize that some new readers might feel confused when they come across the AgileWay newsletter, as it can seem unfocused—one article might be about Selenium test automation, while the next discusses passive income.
So, I decided to spin off the side hustle content into a brand-new Substack newsletter: Software Side Hustler. This is for software professionals who want to:
Escape the cubicle
Break out of the 9-to-5 routine
Steer clear of office politics
Work creatively on their own terms
Earn passive income and live with more freedom
A software side hustler is a software engineer or developer who undertakes additional projects or tasks outside of their primary employment to earn extra income, develop new skills, or pursue personal projects. [AI Response]
Please note, you don’t need to be a 10X developer to start a software side hustle. That’s something I’ve learned from over 20 years of experience. Business Analysts, Software Architects, IT Managers, and Software Testers can all leverage their software knowledge to partner with the right apps/services and build a successful, passive-income-generating side business.
My 20 years of experience and proven results can help guide others with their side hustle journey.
Back to the new Software Side Hustler Newsletter. The first step is to move the articles under the ‘Solopreneur’ section out. (There are already 18 free articles)
I plan to publish at least one new article per week there, with a mix of free and subscriber-only content. The ratio of paywalled articles will likely be higher than in the AgileWay newsletter—after all, side hustling tends to attract more dedicated readers.
Paid subscriptions start at $10/month or $100/year. Benefits of Annual subscribers—including renewals:
Receive three eBooks authored by me and my daughter for free every year (annual payment).
Ask questions via messaging within Substack (limited usage).
Discount on purchasing TestWise & BuildWise Agent licenses.
Become eligible to join my business partnership program—building side hustle ventures / earning passive income with my software products and services. Let’s grow together.
