FAQ for the Survey Results: Selenium WebDriver is the Choice for Web Test Automation in 2024
Clarify the surveys showing Selenium WebDriver is the dominating choice for Web Test Automation in 2024.
In a recent article, I posted the results of two independent surveys.
Since my posting of the results attracted some attention, I will answer some questions received for this article.
Disclaimer: My involvement with these two surveys is only limited to my vote for “Selenium WebDriver” in the first survey. I want to emphasize my complete independence, as I am merely expressing my thoughts based on observing comparable results within a three-month span in two distinct settings — one online and the other at a testing conference.
FAQ
1. How many people took part in those surveys? How did they get picked? What type of audience?
I expected these questions from some people’s tendency to react negatively to anything they find disagreeable.
However, a tester or engineer must respect the facts. I may be old-school, before commenting on an article/post, I read it at least twice. The answers to those questions are already in the article, i.e., just a click away. Yes, I think both (especially the first one) serve as a good survey. Those people did not read the article.
