A repost of my past article on Medium.

Clarification: Mastering E2E test automation requires a significant investment of effort (please note: I didn’t say money here). Commercial coaching, if you find the right mentor, can greatly accelerate the learning process. However, for those on a budget, it’s still possible to succeed by leveraging the wealth of free / very-affordable resources available online — though careful selection is key. With strong motivation and determination, self-learners can reach their goals without needing to spend money.

Yesterday (04–03), one reader responded to this for one of my articles.

The message is clear: This reader is not a Medium member and is not willing to pay Medium $5/month (to join) to read the articles behind the paywall.

For people not familiar with Medium Paywall articles:
Medium takes a portion of membership fee ($5) to compensate the authors of the articles a reader reads. Important note: this tiny bit of money is not for one specific reader. A Medium member can read all payall articles by any writers.

Update (November 2024): I've now switched to Substack as my primary blogging platform, which has better features, such as improved interactivity with paid readers. As a bonus, I offer a complimentary eBook to new paid subscribers and those renewing their subscriptions (annual payment $50/year).

This reader didn’t provide a specific reason why I should make my articles publicly viewable, whether for his benefit or mine. By the way, I re-published ~100 articles on Vocal, 100% free and with no Ads. From the stats, very few reads. This makes me believe that free access is not the major factor.

FYI, I decline all commerical collaborations, i.e., no ads in my writing.
