TestWise Perpetual Licence Is Now Available
A great value for serious E2E Test Automation Engineers
Currently, TestWise (next-generation functional testing IDE) offers two license modes:
Free: No license is required.
In this free mode, a user may perform 15 test executions per launch. Please note that TestWise is always fully featured, even in this free mode.Subscription License: No limits, for just $30 per month.
Starting with TestWise 7.1, we’ve introduced a new license model: Perpetual Licence.
Serious TestWise users may find it more convenient (no need for renewals) and cost-effective (a lot cheaper). For instance, I've been using TestWise IDE daily since 2007, which means I've been using it for nearly 18 years.
If I had been paying for a personal subscription license, even after applying the 25% renewal discount, the total cost would be: 360 + 270 * 17 = $4950
. A floating license (for companies) doubles that amount.
With the new perpetual license, the cost is just a one-time $800 for personal use ($1600 for business, floating). That’s a significant saving!
A common question is: “Will there be an extra cost to upgrade to TestWise v8?” The answer is mostly NO. Why “mostly”? Perpetual licenses are generally tied to a specific version, as is the case with TestWise 7. However, I aim to make TestWise truly perpetual and will offer free upgrades to future versions. Why “mostly”? I can only guarantee this as long as I have control over the company.
By the way, there are NO changes to the other license modes: free and subscription.
Discount for Paid Subscribers of This Newsletter
The paid subscriber (annual payment) gets a 10% discount for this license type as well, which is a $80 saving, more than the newsletter fee ($50).

Dear premium newsletter subscribers, please reach out to me via Substack chat to receive your discount coupon before purchasing TestWise licenses.
For holders of a Perpetual License, the complimentary web test automation mentoring is available only during the first year.
Reminder: Complimentary Mentoring Services for TestWise Customers
There is a great benefit for TestWise customers (who purchased TestWise licenses): receiving complimentary mentoring service: Answering Selenium RSpec Test Questions on our Practice site, which is an instance of our commercial app set up specifically for easier practice with test automation.
Customers can submit tickets on our support site (along with their TestWise project), and our test automation coaches will provide solutions at no charge!
This is, without a doubt, one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways to master end-to-end test automation.
Each year, I receive numerous requests from strangers seeking help with their test automation challenges. For example, “Sir, I am an admirer of your articles. Here is the Cypress test script I wrote, which I have issues with, …. Can you help me create an alternative working Selenium version?” However, even if I wanted to help, without access to their target site, how could I provide meaningful advice?
With this complimentary mentoring service, customers who reach out to me share the same mindset (using the same frameworks and tools), within my familiar test automation setup, as it’s most likely part of my ~600 WhenWise test suite. This allows me to help these motivated test automation engineers quickly and effectively. Basically, to get my free help, make it easy for me to help you.
I completely understand the frustration and urgency that comes when facing a test automation challenge—something I’ve personally encountered and overcome many times. I’m happy to share my insights, but only within my comfortable setup (replicating your challenge in our practice site), and it's free for TestWise customers.
For people not willing to replicate their automation challenges on the WhenWise practice site, we still offer commercial mentoring.
